Darkness at Midnight - contributed by Pearlie Duncan Walker ©

In the darkness of the midnight,
When all the earth seems still
And I'm still awake
(Thinking of the love in my Saviors' will,
The way He wants to protect us from evil),
It's so very nice to know He loves us so much;
Makes me want to heed His advice,

After I think and talk with Him awhile,
The darkness seems to fade away.
Seems the stars are shining brightly,
Going to be a lovely day.
If we walk in His footsteps,
Stay closely in His word,
He will tell us the sweetest story
Which men have ever heard.

In the twinkling of the twilight,
When its very close to dawn;
Listening to the singing of the birds,
Watching little puppies yawn ...
Seems we'd want to know our Master,
How He died for our sin;
Happy in Jesus, knowing
We'll never have to be in darkness again.

Last night the moon was full
To bursting, looking down on me.
I just thought,"Old moon, one-day, look up,
'Cause it's with my Savior I'll be,
Resting in His kingdom,
Filled with His Holy Spirit galore ...
And though I love seeing you up there,
You can't look down on me anymore.

That's my Savior's promise.
All Heavenly light will come from Him.
Should I look down on thee, old moon?
You'd look mighty dim.
So, I believe I'll just hang out with Jesus,
Go with Him all the way ...
So there will be no more mid-night darkness,
But brightness every day.

Be Not Dismayed - contributed by Kathi Toups ©

Caught up in a cloud of indecision and doubt,
Looking for answers; seeing no way out.
Fear and depression battle to rule your mind.
Despondency sets in and you long to leave it all behind.

The wounds of the past have left, inside your soul,
A spirit of bitterness and a heart that's cold.
All hope is gone and you wonder how you'll live,
When you feel that you've given all you can give.

Where can you go at times such as these?
Be not dismayed, for God holds all the keys
To unlock the doors of healing and life.
He can put an end to all the inward strife.

Call on His name and be prepared to see
How quickly He'll come to set you free.
He'll whisper, so sweetly, inside your soul,
"My child, I have come to make you whole."

Be diligent, steadfast, and cling to His Word.
All of your pleas, past and present, He's heard.
Remember, He's only a heart's cry away.
And once He comes, with you, always, He'll stay.

My Problems - contributed by Joyce Grantham ©

My problems are not new
(Still, they hurt me through and through),
As if I were the only one
That this has happened to.

But, I know that there are others
Who know the way I feel.
They could testify to the way I hurt,
How the awful pain is real.

It's then, I must remember
My Savior, up above,
Who will comfort and surround me
With His most precious love.

A Plea - contributed by Kathi Toups ©

Standing, stripped of all pretense and pride,
Nothing more to lose, nothing left to hide;
Broken in spirit, contrite in heart,
Looking for peace, but where to start?

How did you get to the place that you're in?
It began with a thought that grew into sin,
By indulging the flesh and all it desired.
Instead of satiation, you are now so tired.

Life has lost all meaning. You just can't go on.
Where have all the feelings of contentment gone?
Even in crowds, you feel totally alone;
With a heart that's as heavy and cold as stone.

Anger, resentment, bitterness, and strife
Are the emotions that rule and guide your life.
You know you must get rid of them, immediately.
But, try as you may, no difference can you see.

The alcohol and pills refuse to sate;
Needs that you have - nothing will placate.
The evidence is there, that you've tried them all,
And you realize you're headed for a terrible fall.

Please stop, now, before it's too late.
Your life can be filled with love, instead of hate.
I know it's easy to say, but much harder to do.
I understand, because I've been there, too.

That is why I need to say,
Had I not stopped, I wouldn't be here today.
My life was a road, leading to death,
Never knowing which would be my last breath.

You've tried everything else, to no good avail.
So, try giving it up and live to tell your own tale
Of recovery and the steps that you took to get well.
Best of all, you won't spend eternity in hell.

Dead End - contributed by Mark Andrew Collins (age 13) ©

Down the pasture, then up the road -
Trying to determine which way to go.

A road to the left, a road to the right,
It's hard to see in the mist of the night.

Walking down the long empty road;
One gets weak, carrying the load.

Coming to a stop, the road's a dead end.
It's time to turn around and try again.

Keep Your Eyes on Jesus - contributed by V. Oranell Cupp ©

One day, as I was traveling down life's rugged road;
The burden got so heavy, I fell beneath the load.
As I arose, not looking, I made the wrong turn.
Oh, what a lesson that I had to learn.

I lost my direction, couldn't find my way back.
The journey got so lonesome, with no one to carry my pack.
Then, I met the Savior, who turned me around.
Said, "Go back to where you stumbled. My grace still abounds.

Never take your eyes off Jesus. For, He will lead the way.
The burden, oh so heavy, on His shoulders I can lay.
He will point me back to Calvary, the road I must trod;
The road that Jesus traveled, the narrow road to God.

Beware, lest you stumble and take the wrong road.
You'll wind up a stranger with a big heavy load.
The travelers don't know you. They won't lend a hand.
Their destination is not the Promised Land.

My Treasure - contributed by Howard Vern Nicholson ©

My treasure, My treasure, My treasure, what be?
What is the great treasure that matters to me?
You brought up the question, you know. I suppose
It used to be riches, money, drinking and fancy clothes!

It was all the values of the world, as the world goes, you see.
That sums it up! That is what mattered to me!
"Oh, fool," my heart said to me, one day!
"That is not even close to the best way."

I said, "What do you mean? Tell me, please!"
"The highway of the Lord, begins on your knees."
I said to my heart. "Why are you so sure?"
He said, I am sick. And that is the cure!

"I will take you to the doctor. You are hurting, I see."
"Take me to the one doctor. He is the only one to help me."

I said, "Dear heart, His name? Please tell me quick!"
"See, you are so bad off and, oh, so sick."
He said, "His name is Jesus. He heals hearts you know!"
"Take me to Him, please. I am ready to go!"

So, I took my heart to Jesus that day.
He said, "Welcome, I am here to stay!"
My heart was made well, oh, so quick.
It is so well, it will never get sick!

I Hear Your Cry...... - contributed by Howard Vern Nicholson ©

So, why do you cry,
When you live so wrong?
Why do you cry
When you have no song?

Why are you so content
To live in deep sin?
You try every thing;
Gamblin', dope, and gin.

You have greed, lust, and pride;
Brag of exploits, all things tried.
You run to and fro, and on the go.
But, to honor your word, is no.

You build and can't enjoy,
Spend all your money on a toy,
Compete to be on top ...
Everything you try is a flop.

Why don't you learn, my man,
You can't to it all by yourself? I can.
Well, then why do you hurt and cry?
Is it because of your blind eye?

I hear your cry.
So, listen to me. Don't cry.
I will save you and bless you,
If you come unto me. I am for you!

I am Jesus the Christ, the Son,
Eternal life and blessings, son.
Obey my Word and live it ...
The greatest life, so get it.

The Broken Harp - contributed by Joan Clifton Costner ©

In the corner, of the basement,
Stood a cobweb covered harp;
Broken, now, and so forsaken.
There it stood, back in the dark.

No one, in the little village,
Could repair the harp again.
And, you'd never guess the music
Or the places it had been.

Came a ragged man a beggin'
For a place out of the cold,
He was bent and slightly limpin'.
He was lookin' frail and old.

So, the houseman gave permission.
He could sleep upon the floor
Of the basement, where was kept
The harp - with melody no more.

Soon, the house was filled with music!
'Twas as sweet as angels bring.
And, the household came a-runnin',
Just to see the vibrant strings!

Dusted now, it stood in beauty.
Every web was cleared away.
And, the ragged man was singing
Very softly as he played.

In his song, he told the story
How he'd made that harp, when new.
Since he'd made its first beginning,
Fixing wasn't hard to do.

Dear friend, if you are needing
Just a touch from God above,
Just remember Who has made you.
He can "fix" you with His love.

He can fill the empty corners
Of your heart with song, anew.
He can take each day and make
A special melody for you!

He can fix the broken pieces,
Better even than before,
And open wide the storehouse
Of His blessing evermore!

The Light of The World - contributed by Gary Hall ©

If I could release into the night
the things that trouble me;
the hurt, the pain, the burdened mind ~
it would not set me free.

For I would awake and find these things
have followed me around.
Even in the bottle,
I found troubles can't be drowned.

Sometimes, we think that all these things
have been given for us to bare ...
and if we could run as far as we can,
there is no hope out there.

Sometimes, our mind will trick us
and make us believe it's time to go.
Please don't pull the plug on life.
There is something you must know.

I laid awake and cried in pain.
Oh, how it hurt inside.
Something had a hold of me.
It was the evil of the night.

I ran to every harbor,
looking here and there,
and I found (with desperate searching)
that there was no hope out there.

Then, I looked up into heaven
and said, "Yes, I do believe!
Will you free me from this thing
that is surely destroying me?"

As I spoke, I felt the hair
rise up upon my arm.
A voice so soft, warm, and sweet said,
"Be still, I mean no harm.

I have come to give you hope
and take away all despair.
I have waited all these years
just to answer that outspoken prayer.

Once you lived in sin My son.
But now, I've set you free.
You must die of all the night
and walk in the light with me.

Jesus came to save me
and He surely set me free.
If I had not called, He could not hear,
and in the dark I would still be.

Take Time - contributed by Joan Clifton Costner ©

When the tempest rages wildly,
Encompassing my ears,
And the forces threaten victory,
Alarming all my fears ...
When the storm would last forever,
No rainbow ever could appear,
I close my eyes and hold my breath,
And still, I feel Him near!

When the morning breaks in splendor,
When there's a song within my heart,
And my spirit's high as heaven
E'en before the day can start ...

Then, I pause, for just a moment,
While I'm 'basking in the sun',
And discover, very quietly,
The Presence of God's Son.

Friend, when troubles threaten failure
Or when it's a hum-drum day,
When morning sun surrounds you
As you start upon your way ...
Look for Jesus! He'll be waiting,
And, I've found it always true.
If you take the time for Jesus, always,
He has time for you!

Jesus is the light of my life - contributed by Dan Turner ©

Jesus is the light of my life.
he keeps me living through trials and strife.
this man will walk with you day or night,
Jesus is the light of my life
we get our strength from God up above
to make us complete and share us His love.
to walk in the valley or high on a hill.
our light must shine forever it will.
Saints meet together to worship His name,
praying for sinners and sick just the same.
shinning a light on each heart and soul,
Jesus this light is on us I know.

Trials - contributed by Claytia Doran ©

No matter what trials come our way,
God will see us through each day.
If only we'll put our trust in Him,
The light of His love will never dim.

Don't ever think that He's forgotten you.
It's just, sometimes, we need a test or two.
For, we'll never be able to help our brother
If we're not tested, one way or another.

Never ask the Lord for an easy road,
But only for strength to carry your load.
For, through your sorrows, you will find
The Lord is with you. He's loving and kind.

And, when your trials have all gone away,
'I've been there, too,' is what you can say.
For, there'll be times when someone you meet
Will praise God to walk in the steps of your feet.

Feelings - contributed by Pearlie Duncan Walker ©

Feelings of every kind, into our life, each day, seem to appear.
Some elate us greatly. We feel so, wonderfully, full of cheer.
Then, another day may bring to us a dreary, frosty, frown.
Sometimes, we feel our wonderful Savior has let us down.

But, we can't have all days of sunshine. We must have a little rain.
For, if we never experienced rain, how from the sunshine could we gain?
If we always have nothing but good, how are we to learn
That to please God, for others, we have to feel love and concern?

He is the One who brought, into this world, the joy and love we feel.
But, Satan came sneaking in our souls, away from God to steal.
But, we shan't let him. For, we know that, with our God, we'll stay
And weather rain or sunshine, now. We'll be with Him, in that day.

So, cast away the hate, the blues, and the many dreary doubts;
Feelings of despair, loneliness, and all the angry shouts.
Let's put on joy and happiness, for our God up above;
Telling all about this, our wondrous Savior's sweet love .

God Is My Anchor - contributed by Pearlie Duncan Walker ©

Truly, in these stormy days of life, as tho drifting out to sea,
God sent my loving Savior to ever be an anchor for me.
In the storms of life, in all the winds or desert drought,
My Savior is there, with a helping hand. I know, without a doubt.

He keeps me in all safety, when I sometimes go astray.
He keeps my ship afloat, safely leads me into the bay.
Some days, as I feel I'm sinking, tho I try hard not to be,
He always propels my heart and soul away from danger, alee.

When the waves are bearing down upon me, in this stormy sea,
My Lord will ever be there. I belong to Him, you see.
Since His Holy Spirit, lead me to the altar ('twas so sweet to know),
From coast to coast or from sea to sea, He will always with me go.

So, if you are sinking and in danger, and your heart is full of fear,
Turn over your life to Jesus. He will always keep you near.
He will ever guide you. In your heart, you'll feel His love
So abounding, so joyful, you'll know it's from above.

Let Him be your Anchor. May He guide you o'er the stormy sea
And, in this life, know the blessings - all that life can be.
As the stars glisten in the night and the moon does glow,
Through this life and forever Jesus with you will go.

He'll be there - contributed by Pearlie Duncan Walker ©

When the dark shadows crowd round about you
And you know not which way to turn, in the dark of night,
Put your faith in our Lord. He'll tell you what to do
And, soon, everything will be alright.

Sometimes, it seems as tho He's not listening. But, He does hear.
He lets us go through some dark times, so that we may know
The suffering and shame He bore for us. But, He's always near
And we know that we can count on Him. His love will set your heart aglow.

Sometimes, in times of trouble or deep sorrow, it's our Lord we blame;
Saying, "He didn't have to let this happen." But, down in our hearts, we know
That all things are for a reason and to blame the Lord is our shame.
For in our hearts, we know, where there's two or more, He's there, also ...

Doing His Father's bidding, even as a little boy, in the synagogue;
Talking and asking questions, so that the Elders were amazed ...
Knowing, even then, that He was the Son of our God.
What a Wondrous, Holy. Son His mother, Mary, did raise.

See Through the Darkness - contributed by Pearlie Duncan Walker ©

In the lightness of our lives, we think we can see so clearly.
But, through the darkness, we turn to Him, who loves us dearly.
For in the darkest part of any life, He sees all. He is Lord.
His divine plan is here for all to use. So, come on aboard.

He is not deaf, that He can not hear our call when in dire need.
He is not blind, that He can't see where we planted seed.
Hold on to the lightness of His sweet love, forever and ever.
Hark unto His call and our soul He shall not sever.

Gladly, will He be our guide, in the darkness of the night.
Inside our hearts, He will make gladness and a pure loving light.
We all know we can, in times of great troubles, go unto Him.
He will give us lightness, where before we were in darkness so dim.

He must think, sometimes, "Little children, don't you really know
That in trouble and darkness it's to Jesus, My Son ye can go?
While in this old world, there will always be darkness, in it's time.
But, Oh, when you get to the mansion I built for you, there you're mine."

Always and forever, you'll walk on streets of gold, eat from the tree of life,
Always joy and light from the Savior, no more tears, grief or strife.
He will come back for us. That day is marked in His own mind
And all the household, who loves His Son, shall NOT be left behind.

Kindness - contributed by Claytia Doran ©

Today, I wandered aimlessly,
About my daily chores.
Finally, the tears were falling.
I couldn't hold them anymore.

My heart, it seemed so burdened
From the load I had to bear.
I was trudging along, hopelessly.
Nothing mattered, I just didn't care.

Then, a stranger took the time
To smile at me and say
One kind word, to lift me up,
To brighten up my day.

Bless this stranger, Lord, I pray.
For, he helped me to realize
Just how important kindness is,
When seen through another's eyes.

His Way - contributed by Claytia Doran ©

He sees the tears you're crying.
He sees a heart that's sad.
God knows how hard you're trying
And why you feel so bad.

So, don't you go and let Him down
By keeping all the worry.
Don't turn your smile into a frown
And try to make Him hurry.

Let Him fill your heart with love
And take your cares away.
Lift your eyes to God, above.
Let Him do things 'His way'.

When we cry - contributed by Claytia Doran ©

Did you know God takes all your tears
And he puts them in a jar?
He marks each one as 'special',
From everyone near and far.

He counts every tear you shed.
He knows if they're happy or sad.
He knows the reason for them
And all the heartaches you've had.

So, when your tears start falling,
Remember God knows why
And He's got His jar waiting.
He understands us when we cry.

Talk To God - contributed by Claytia Doran ©

Where can you go to feel close to God
When they say He's everywhere?
How can I try to talk to God
When I just don't feel He's there?

I know He'll always lend an ear,
No matter where I may be.
I'm sure He's, always, got the time
To listen to a sinner like me.

But, somehow it doesn't seem right
To try and say your prayers
In front of hundreds of people.
Though, I'm sure no one really cares.

But me, I'd rather talk to God
Like Jesus talked to His father,
All alone just me and Him
On a mountain, with no one to bother.

I tell him all my weary troubles
And He makes them seem all right.
Yes, I would gladly talk to God;
Any time of the day or night.

A Cluttered Spirit - contributed by Nancy Hoback ©

Hurts of the past become entwined.
They clutter our vision and destroy our mind.
Once in awhile, we take them out,
Dust them off, and put them high upon a shelf.

As time passes so quickly, you can see
They have come back to haunt oneself.
We may run into an old friend
An unkind word is spoken and doom sets in.
Then clutter, once more, is ours again.

Clouded memories of deceit, lies, and lost trust
Belong to Jesus and need to be healed.
For, an inner peace will come if only you're willing
To let it all go and let love be instilled.

The Great Physician will come and set you free.
The past is over and all of its hurts and doubts are gone.
A new life's beginning and a brand new dawn.

Please, let go of the past and let God heal you.
He can and will restore all the beauty of life
And make you brand new.

True Happiness is Mine, Saith the Lord - contributed by Nancy Hoback ©

True happiness will always be
A place of beauty and solitude,
With everlasting light
And a lot of gratitude.

A place of happiness is a new beginning
And placed by God within our heart.
It's given with the realization of God's love
And blessings, right from the start ...

A place full of hope and
Goodness and the golden rule,
"Do unto others as you would
Have them do unto you."

My being swelled,
With so much pride,
When I learned how Jesus
Came and how He died.

As I say my prayers
At the end of each night,
I ask my Savior to watch
Over our nation and let them heal.

For, true happiness
Will come from Jesus
And everyone will know
Just how it feels.

You can have true happiness
If you let the Lord take out the old
And restore the new.
A brighter tomorrow belongs to all you.

Jesus Supplies All of Our Needs - contributed by Nancy Hoback ©

Jesus is the supplier of all our needs.
He will reward us for all our good and helpful deeds.
In body, mind, and soul He will always supply
His wisdom, mercy, and love to protect us until the day we die.
Grant Him His wish and let Him come on in.
He will stay with you and be your best friend.
With salvation, grace, and fortitude ...
From the beginning, it will last until the end.
All my needs and supplies are given and have been met.
For, Jesus was born and died, and He paid all of the debt.

Jesus is Our Lifeline to Heaven - contributed by Nancy Hoback ©

When our life is sinking and
We don't know where to start,
Jesus throws us a life jacket
and He will never ever depart.
When you are tired and weary
And you forget to trust,
And there's no one to turn to,
and you feel nothing but disgust ...
God throws you an anchor
And He will reel you in,
If only you open up your heart
And welcome Him in.
All He ever asks is to let go of all our sin.
"Jesus, I will follow You to that pearly gate.
I'll sin no more, honor and obey, and forget all the past,
And never again will I hate.
I'm on my way to victory
And my ship is sailing high.
To my past and all its dark side,
I will say, "Goodbye."
For, God will always be with me
And, when He comes to get me,
My life line will be with Him,
In Heaven's golden sky.

Depression Road - contributed by Vickie Lambdin ©

I was sad and lonely.
Depression was my friend,
Until I got down on my knees
And let My Savior in.

He lifted all my burdens
And forgave my every sin.
He took away my sorrow
And helped me live, again.
I walked around with teardrops
just streaming down my face.
I knew I couldn't last, for long,
In that cold and lonely place.
Then, the Savior rescued me
With His Amazing Grace.
So, now, I'm smiling all day long.
He replaced my teardrops with His song.
My soul is light.
He bore my load.
For, it was dark, as a dungeon,
Out on Depression Road.

In My Weakness - contributed by Joan Costner ©

When you're lost in a sea of indifference,
When you're drowning but nobody cares,
When it seems all is lost ('though you've paid the high cost)
And you can't pierce the ceiling with prayers,

When you're standing for right (but, alone in your fight),
When your heart is breaking in two ...
Dear friend, just recall the sparrows that fall.
He really does care for you.

Sometimes in losing, we win more
And, sometimes, the battle's not o'er.
Sometimes, the struggle creates the strength
To raise us up where eagles soar.

When we have reached the High Places
And we gaze at the struggle below,
The tapestry woven will look from above
Like it never could from here below.

God does have a plan and a purpose
And things never happen by chance.
What you see through the lens, with study,
Is not just the same as a glance.

So, when troubles and trials beset you,
Hold on! And, study, with care!
You'll find the trace of His finger
And you'll know He is answering prayer!

It is not just the present and past He can see
And it's not just the loss or the win.
But, He sees beyond and He sees results
And knows how the twig turns and bends.

I like to think that each twist and turn,
In this gnarled old bark of mine,
Drove my roots deeper still; seeking guidance until
They're forever entwined in Thine!

Finding it All - contributed by Joyce C. Lock ©

We search to win life's battles, to climb Mount Everest,
To give our best in all we do, and let God do all the rest.

We learn of power, strength, and might, (Searching for Victory),
Determining to not give up the fight, as it maps our destiny.

We search to be more Christ-like, in all we say and do;
And to reach out to help others, by using the Master's tools.

We find to overcome Satan, and the storms that rage within -
When the sea monsters come to shore, we can always run to Him.

We search for happiness (of a lasting kind)
And know that, even through trials, pure joy we can always find.

We search for Heaven's treasures. We fight the roaring sea.
We search for Peace, Hope, and Love. And, find it all in Thee.

Our Bridge Over Troubled Waters - contributed by Leslie Willson ©

The snow is getting deeper,
and my path I cannot find.
But the bridge, that crosses troubled waters,
Will lead me though I'm blind.

Now the stream, that trickles beneath the bridge,
Flows gently on and on ...
As our days through life we live,
Each day brings a bright new dawn.

The footprints now, that I've left behind,
Are melted from the noonday sun.
Like each day of our lives,
Into years, they have spun.

A path is made through the new fallen snow.
For all to follow without fear
A bright new light at the end of our life
Will appear ...... Jesus ...

The Storm Tossed Soul - contributed by Kathi Toups ©

Are you tossed about on the sea of life?
Has the beacon of light disappeared in the fog?
Do you feel like the captain sinking along with his ship,
Into the depths of some fathomless bog?

Candles, that burned bright inside your heart,
Are slowly dying extinguishing all hope,
The light in your eyes has dulled with sadness,
Leaving you alone in the darkness to grope.

Storms come in assaulting the senses,
Leaving only wreckage in its wake.
The raging vortex wants to suck you in,
Stealing whatever it may want to take.

Look to heaven and you will find your safe haven.
It is there, in the triune Godhead.
Jesus does not want you to remain adrift.
He longs to come and save you instead.

He commanded the elements, "Peace be still",
And will do the same for the storm tossed soul.
He wants to be your lighthouse of hope,
Restoring your shipwrecked life, filling in each and every hole.

Heal the Inner Man - contributed by Joyce C. Lock ©

Lord, we want to be a witness.
You are our very best friend.
Lord, we love you truly;
Our paths to never end.

Send a revival
Touching souls within.
Open hearts to worship,
Sing 'till battles you win.

Come with your Spirit.
Heal the inner man.
Let us rejoice together
and love you once again.

Things Aren't Always What They Seem - contributed by Joyce C. Lock ©

A voice crying in the wilderness,
"Help make my path straight."
For one who is lame
Can't make if through the gate.

A heart full of pain.
A life full of woe.
None sought his name.
Where else could he go?

Falling on his knees,
Making prayer his aim -
Then came the MASTER,
Who led him through the flame.

Tears of sorrow vanished,
When paths were made straight.
Never to be the same,
Walking through Heaven's gate.

Matters of the Heart - contributed by Joyce C. Lock ©

When your heart aches for something
most precious to your life;
God has placed that heartache,
as He grieves in your strife.

When your heart aches for something,
God wants that for you, too;
For He sent His Spirit,
who resideth in you.

When your heart aches for something,
it's time for a fresh start;
As He forever cares
in matters of the heart.

God Still Comforts His Own - contributed by Joyce C. Lock ©

If angels can speak great words from above,
And fly with wings of God's given love ...

If chariots can ride over dark clouds,
And instruments can sing praises out loud ...

If sparrows can stand on the housetop alone,
Then God still comforts His own.

Through the Night - contributed by Joyce C. Lock ©

Did you seek Him in the Darkness
As you Praised Him in the Light?

Did the Song of your Daytime
Last you through the Night?

In tribulation, did you
Still carry His Name?

With the Good and the Bad,
Did you Love Him just the Same?

Joy Comes In the Morning - contributed by Joyce C. Lock ©

When in need of hope, God gives a song

And holds our hand (all the night long)...

'til light overshadows, changing the view,

And morning comes - strengthened anew.

Just Remember - contributed by Joyce C. Lock ©

When you feel tested and tried
And all worn out inside,
Just Remember...
God is by your side.

When you have lost your best friend
And it feels like the end,
Just Remember...
Another He'll send.

When you feel like a good cry
But you just don't know why,
Just Remember...
God is standing by.

When the day seems to grow cold
Because you're getting old,
Just remember...
Your hand He will hold.

When there's a heart you can't mend -
That needs someone to tend,
Just Remember...
Jesus will be their friend.

God Always Wins - contributed by Joyce C. Lock ©

If ever there was a night so wrong,
It's giving praises to Satanic thrones -

Giving him credit when everything's amiss,
Forgetting God and who He is.

For, in the night, there should be song -
Rejoicing in light until it is shone,

Letting God carry you through,
Until He's shown His love toward you.

It doesn't matter the tactic or scare,
Our Heavenly Father is always there.

For when the battle comes to an end -
We're reminded again, God always wins!
