The sun appears so much brighter
The sky is more blue than ever
The flowers' scent so much sweeter
But, I fear the black skies
As they will be blacker and scarier than ever
A thousand tears can not describe
How I feel inside
My inner anguish, torment and fear
Of life to be living
That no one can hear
Do you think that if we had
A second chance at life
That we could be happy?
O how I wish it so!
A thousand tears swept away
A thousand tears that I can't say
A thousand tears of living
A thousand tears of crying
To make one small smile happy.
Life in a candlewind
A candle burning so brightly
Within a mass of darkness
Life in a candlewind
When all hope has been lost,
What is left,
But hope
Oh joyous times when we can look
Across the hills and no
Watching of the hand of time
Burden and grief
Of more mortals is that of
Our caring ways
And who wonders of our tirade?
Are we not, in our own selfish ways
Watching the hand of the clock
We should not be concerned
With the passing
Of the moon and sun
But more appreciative
Of quality in that time
How much can a strong person take
Before they break?
Before the sun setting and rising
Is another nightmare in place?
Wanting to not be like this
In forever and a day
But no choice we have
Forever in debt of life
And if we had the choice to make
Would we choose life?
No one knows the pain we face
Throughout our days
Sickness growing in our minds
Our anxiety spreading through
Our veins
Where did the happiness go?
And if by chance
We could take the pain away
Would we take
That opportunity?
Forever a battle between
Our minds
That no words can describe
Take life as it comes
Beautiful plain, rolling hills
I envisage my end here
Through dust clouds and fiery rain
I will make my peace and have no fear
If life is a cornerstone,
Railing up the hills and overlook
The tremendous landscape and the choice
That we no longer took
I ride and gallop
Across the plains of desire
Freedom and joyous air through me
No longer polluted through greed and misery
The earth crunches beneath me
And whispers of sand I hear
Hailing faster hailing louder
No more fear
My marvel at the true meaning
Of this world endower
As I gaze across the horizon
And feel so much power
True beauty lies in this earth
Although we no longer see
A dark cloud has erased
My memory
From deep within my soul
Lies a piece of heaven
A piece of heaven living
Within an uncertain hell.
Look into the mirror
And you will see it
Shimmering behind those
Reflecting gaze of my eyes
And if we could take
A slice of heaven
Would we toss it
Disparately into hell?
Or would we hold onto it
Cherishing the moment
That within ourselves
Peace can reign at last?
Caught between two worlds
Of heaven and earth
Between a rock
And a hard place
I lie
For who could tell?
Of the anguish and pain felt
And of the joyous moments
That we so live for
Freedom is but a dream
Of optimists
Like a river, or piece of land
Untouched by greedy human hands
But come they do,
with no hue,
crying trees wither and wart,
gnarled angry twisting
in remorse.
Freedom is but a dream
Of optimists
Like the sky blue,
Untouched by arrogant human hands
They make evils
To undo the lands
Flailing flowers filter in the wind,
Of the desertland madness,
In remorse.
Freedom is but a dream
Of optimists
Like the deep oceans green,
Untouched by ignorant human hands
They like to destroy what they see
So we have no memories
All of the cruelties they can inflict
Will be reflected
To the end they have done.
Freedom is but a dream
Of optimists
When we can only live in peace
And not destroy the things that we see
And not destroy the land
And the sea
And the sky
Will we know what freedom is.
