The numbers are head-office numbers and a lot of these are in London but many have networks of support groups across the country and they will be able to tell you where your nearest group is. Remember if you need to talk to someone urgently and in confidence the Samaritans are able to offer support 24 hours a day, call them on 08457 909090, this is a local rate number. There is a group in Manchester that set itself up in Dec 1997 called C.A.L.M (Campaign Against Living Miserably), they are available to talk to 7 days a week from 5pm-3am, call them on 0800 585858 and there is SANELINE who are available from 12noon-2am 7 days a week, their number is 0845 767 8000

The National Phobics Society is a registered charity est. 1970 which
